Community liaison
The South Amboy First Aid Squad prides itself in being run by community members. We value the support and generous donations made by many community organizations and members throughout the years. Additionally, since we are 100% volunteer, our members are often the very people you may see or meet on the streets of South Amboy everyday!
In an effort to strengthen and maintain our connection with the community, the South Amboy First Aid Squad has decided to create and implement the Public Relations Committee (PRC) within SAFAS. This committee is led by one our own EMTs and is tasked with attending city and committee ran events to better connect and engage with the community. We have great things in store for you South Amboy!

Halloween KidDIE Watch
South Amboy First Aid Squad's mission is to serve the residents of South Amboy and we do so in more ways than one. We consider it a privilege to spend the afternoon taking out ambulances to assist in ensuring the safety of the children trick-or-treating in the area but to also join in the trick-or-treating festivities by handing out candy and balloons on our routes through town.
This year, we had an overwhelming amount of EMT's, Drivers, and EMS personnel volunteer to take out every ambulance the squad has and one SUV to coverage every area square foot of the town along side our town's fire departments.

School OutReach ProgramSouth Amboy First Aid Squad is beginning a school outreach program to get more involved with our community.
From book readings, ambulance tours, and first aid demonstrations to recruitment days, we look forward to being an active organization in our community. |
