Becoming a member of the South Amboy First Aid Squad is a rewarding opportunity. It means helping our neighbors in their time of need. Every situation is different, and they require patience, logic, physical and mental skills.

Why Volunteer?

• You will gain a sense of purpose that comes from assisting your friends, neighbors, and even complete strangers in their most vulnerable moments. Nothing in this world can compare to the feeling it brings to serve others.
• You will gain a skill set and experience that can help in all facets of your life, including advancing in or changing your career or catching the eye of a college admissions officer.
• You will develop a sense of belonging that comes from working as a team and make life-long friendships along the way.
• SAFA will provide initial and continuous free training that will not only serve to better your life but benefit the lives of others in an emergency response situation.​

​You can also download and print the PDF Pre-Membership Form by clicking on the link below and drop off the completed form at the South Amboy First Aid Squad located at 401 Main Street.  You can drop off the completed form whenever you see someone at the squad.  We hold our meetings on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 8:00PM.  

You can also contact us at (732) 721-1005 to make an appointment with our Squad President to discuss membership and receive a complete application packet.
